WINNER OF WEEK 68 : Falling to Pieces by Zach Ziskin

Zach Ziskin

Zach Ziskin defines modern pop with a fresh, organic sound that wraps instantly memorable melodies in concise, hook-laden songs. The South Florida native's newest offering, real as the memory, showcases zach’s emotive vocals and personal, insightful lyrics. His rich, textured sound, steeped in classic pop sensibility, echoes the past but with a modern edge that draws from a wide range of influences including Jeff Buckley, Jellyfish, The Beatles, Coldplay and U2, among others.

zach, who was named by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel as one of the top five local artists in 2002, has quickly ignited interest from radio stations, internet sites and music fans from around the world. Requests from radio stations in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the U.K., Australia and right here in the USA have been pouring in since the album’s release in late September, 2002. The album’s first single, falling to pieces, has received glowing reviews by critics, as well as fellow musicians who voted the song number one on Compo-10 Internet Radio. falling to pieces has also been voted number one by fans of makeastar.com and is now included on Make A Star’s nationally distributed compilation CD. The song will also be featured on The Breast Cancer Benefit Album for New York City set to be launched on

May 27, 2003. The album will raise funds for breast cancer research, education and for the provision of mammograms for those in need in the New York area.

In the late '90s zach enjoyed success with the band Passion Seeds, voted "Best Pop Band” by The New Times. As the vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for the group, he garnered accolades from both critics and a worldwide fan base, opening for groups such as Smash Mouth and Vitamin C.

Winner of
the 11:th Final

November Moon by Lindsay Wynn

This singer/songwriter is making her presence felt in South Florida in addition to creating a buzz throughout the music industry. Involved in music all of her life, this talented and sensual artist has drawn from widespread influences (everything from Fiona Apple to Ella Fitzgerald to The Grateful Dead) to create a new sound which is both unique and hauntingly unforgettable. Not just another pretty face, this accomplished pianist and guitarist has teamed up with writer/producer Pete Masitti (Hootie and the Blowfish, Julio Iglesias Jr.) to create her debut EP (to be released December 2003) as a precursor to her full length album. Keeping the emphasis on delivering stirring live performances, Lindsay continues to excite and enamor audiences at each and every show.
