"Do
You Know I Shimmer For You" by Laughing
Cavalier!
Artist
Information:
I
am a poet and a songwriter. I am not a performer so I don't do
any gigs except for my friends. Musically, my biggest dream would
be to have a great band record some of my music in a real studio
with real engineers. In my meager home studio there's just me
a couple of guitars, an old drum machine and a computer. Just
me, a lone eagle perched high atop my mountain looking out my
window and writing songs. Classic impact rock with lyrics that
tell a story or have some meaning. Music that makes you think,
smile and sometimes cry.

Biography:
A long and heartwarming story. Someday a book may be written.
:} I was born on an island in the middle of the Atlantic. The
island name is Madeira. When I was just a baby I was moved to
continental Europe where I grew to be a teenager. Then at the
age of 16 we moved to the US. I am leaving much out of this short
version of the story. Details like how I got shot at crossing
the border etc. But .... That's for the book, or for those who
ask me. I am a poet, you can read some of my poetry at my web
site LaughingCavalier.com, I am a better poet than musician. I
have a really neat life with many interests. I race cars, (pictures
at web site), I paint *very poorly (web site), I am a gourmet
cook, (recipes at web site) my mom taught me. I can program computers
in Unix shell, C+ and Perl, PHP and most other languages. I have
lived on two continents and speak several languages. It's been
a fun life so far. I am younger than you might think, but I have
seen a lot
My
biggest interest is in promoting Independent Artists music. I
created FreeWorldRadio.com to do just that and several other sites
as well such a YourPlayListClub.com. I am also the Marketing Director
for the ArtistLaunch.com network of sites.
I
own a business (brokerage firm) in addition to promoting Indies,
but promoting Independent artists is my passion. I spend at least
10 hours per day doing just that.
I
entered this contest because I regularly submit our artists to
this contest since I think it is one of the best on the web. In
the last few years I have not had the time to spend on my personal
music because I have been too busy promoting others, so when I
was named the winner I was completely taken by surprise. It means
a lot to me to have other great artists think my music is worthwhile.
I
am very thankful for this honor and am glad you enjoyed my music
from the heart.
Discography:
CD currently in production at Lost River Studios in NY.

Winner of
the 11:th Final
November
Moon
by Lindsay Wynn
This
singer/songwriter is making her presence felt in South Florida in addition
to creating a buzz throughout the music industry. Involved in music all
of her life, this talented and sensual artist has drawn from widespread
influences (everything from Fiona Apple to Ella Fitzgerald to The Grateful
Dead) to create a new sound which is both unique and hauntingly unforgettable.
Not just another pretty face, this accomplished pianist and guitarist
has teamed up with writer/producer Pete Masitti (Hootie and the Blowfish,
Julio Iglesias Jr.) to create her debut EP (to be released December 2003)
as a precursor to her full length album. Keeping the emphasis on delivering
stirring live performances, Lindsay continues to excite and enamor audiences
at each and every show.
