Ryan Avery of Chance's End WINNER OF WEEK 118 ELECTRONIC MUSIC:

"Skyway (Radio Mix)" by Chance's End!

Artist Information:

It raises eyebrows when people learn that Ryan Avery, a classically-trained violinist, is the talent behind the solo breakbeat-electronica project Chance's End, begun in Summer 2000. The Chance's End sound is based on a progressive-breakbeat vibe, and is infused with strong melodic hooks, violin-led string ensembles (a memento of Ryan's classical violin roots), and a thick sonic texture that dance-floor breaks do not normally provide. Indeed, Chance's End usually focuses on creating music more suitable for living room listening, rather than peak-of-the-night anthems.

In contrast to his studio work, a Chance's End live show brings dance-floor breaks to his original productions in a live-PA environment. When describing a Chance's End show, two words are always mentioned: live violin. Chance's End combines his own productions, songs from other artists, exclusive Chance's End remixes of other artists, and his trademark electronic-fusion violin stylings, giving new life to some well-known and some relatively obscure tracks. Because everything is remixed live, a Chance's End set is more flexible and more entertaining to an audience than a DJ mix set.

Recently, Chance's End has seen success internationally. Chance's End's "Platinum Prawn" was chosen for inclusion in the highly-anticipated computer game Breed (Germany, Feb 2004). Chance's End was also chosen as a winner in the Feltpeople "2 Step" remix competition for Cone Records (UK, 2004).

The sophomore CD by Chance's End, Set Me Free, is scheduled to be released in late March. "Skway", the first single from the album, was released on 12" vinyl in November 2003, and has been well-received by college and internet radio across the U.S.A. Winner of
the 11:th Final

November Moon
by Lindsay Wynn

This singer/songwriter is making her presence felt in South Florida in addition to creating a buzz throughout the music industry. Involved in music all of her life, this talented and sensual artist has drawn from widespread influences (everything from Fiona Apple to Ella Fitzgerald to The Grateful Dead) to create a new sound which is both unique and hauntingly unforgettable. Not just another pretty face, this accomplished pianist and guitarist has teamed up with writer/producer Pete Masitti (Hootie and the Blowfish, Julio Iglesias Jr.) to create her debut EP (to be released December 2003) as a precursor to her full length album. Keeping the emphasis on delivering stirring live performances, Lindsay continues to excite and enamor audiences at each and every show.
