of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to recover from the massive storm
that is still making its way across the Mid-Atlantic States. American
Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of
Katrina’s destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims
left homeless with critical necessities. Artists at Artistlaunch.com
are answering the call by making and selling CD:s. 100% of the profits
realized from the sale of these CDs will be donated to the Red Cross
to aid victims of hurricane Katrina. For an indefinite period of time
donated proceeds will be matched by the Ford Motor Company. Click

As
a duo, Uschi Wiese & Paul Lawall complement each other
in a most wonderful way. They met in 1991, and have played
together in various bands, finally becoming a duo in 1997:
two voices and two guitars, a minimal but genial group!
For all their musical abilities, they always keep their
songwriting in the forefront. And therein lies the strength
of this duo: whether it's a sentimental ballad, or an energetic
blues number, these two combine their efforts with a very
strong feeling for the essential. Their music possesses
a startling simplicity, and even complex arrangements never
disturb the natural charm of the songs.

Mit Uschi Wiese & Paul Lawall präsentiert sich
ein Duo, das sich in wunderbarer Weise ergänzt. Die
beiden trafen sich 1991,spielten zusammen in verschiedenen
Formationen,bis sich 1997 das Duo als letzte Konsequenz
einer Entwicklung darstellte: zwei Stimmen und zwei Gitarren,
eine minimale, aber geniale Besetzung! Bei allem musikalischen
Können steht immer die "Songdienlichkeit"
im Vordergrund. Und genau hier liegt die Stärke des
Duos; ob gefühlvolle Ballade, ob energischer Blues
- immer ergänzen sich die beiden mit traumwandlerisch
sicherem Gefühl für das Wesentliche. Die Stücke
entwickeln sich in verblüffender Einfachheit, und selbst
komplexe Arrangements stören nie den natürlichen
Charme der Songs.

This
singer/songwriter is making her presence felt in South Florida in addition
to creating a buzz throughout the music industry. Involved in music all
of her life, this talented and sensual artist has drawn from widespread
influences (everything from Fiona Apple to Ella Fitzgerald to The Grateful
Dead) to create a new sound which is both unique and hauntingly unforgettable.
Not just another pretty face, this accomplished pianist and guitarist
has teamed up with writer/producer Pete Masitti (Hootie and the Blowfish,
Julio Iglesias Jr.) to create her debut EP (to be released December 2003)
as a precursor to her full length album. Keeping the emphasis on delivering
stirring live performances, Lindsay continues to excite and enamor audiences
at each and every show.
