Wake Up the Dead (157)
by: Reed Foehl

Burden (175)
by Reed Foehl

BIOGRAPHY

Beneath the radar emerges a seasoned veteran of acoustic-driven melodies wrought with story and full of truth and song. It would be hard-pressed to assume that singer-songwriter Reed Foehl could slip through unnoticed or untouched. With the release of his debut solo LP "Spark" currently underway, Boston-born Foehl finds himself on the cusp of a significant career transformation.

Foehl, who collectively sold over 100,000 records with his former band, Acoustic Junction, is releasing his first solo record, Spark, which will be available in stores nationwide May 18, 2004. The young singersongwriter's eight-year commitment with Acoustic Junction lead him through the release of five records, one major label and one independent label record deal, and over 1200 live performances. With the December 10, 2003 launch of his start-up label, NEVER-FOEHL Records, the former Acoustic Junction frontman is adhering to his independent spirit by issuing Spark the old-fashioned way: on his own.

Experiencing music from an early age, both domestically and on the street, Foehl got his start playing live music as a street performer in Boston's Faneuil Hall at the tender age of eleven. Foehl's parents provided an integral musical diet at home, performing in their now 25-year-old bluegrass band, which still holds practice every Thursday night.

Throughout his musical career, Foehl has shared the stage with such legendary artists as Dave Matthews, Patti Griffin, Taj Mahal, David Lindley, Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Guster, Howie Day, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters. In addition to performing with renowned artists, Foehl has also recorded with such industry greats as Graham Nash, Morphine drummer Billy Conway, Mellencamp drummer Kenny Aronoff and Hall and Oates bass player T-Bone Walk.

Making way to the small screen in 2003, music from Spark has been featured on Dawson's Creek television series and second-season DVD, as well as CBS's Joan of Arcadia and Fox's Party of Five DVD. Foehl's forthcoming solo effort has also garnered generous critical acclaim, earning praises from, among others, The Boston Globe " [he] sings like he feels every noteÉeach song tells a story, all of which he relates astonishingly well," and The Harford Current "songs with soul...no one goes away disappointed." Foehl's honest storytelling and melodic songwriting provide the rare makeup of a truly memorable artist; his independence, character and passion for performing live have granted him the ability to continue doing that which he does best.

the 15:th Final

I Remember the Music
by: Rick Monroe

Country Singer-songwriter Rick Monroe possesses the ability to take life experiences that we all share and create songs that speak to his listeners. Monroe connects with his audiences and leaves them wanting more whether it is in an intimate setting with his acoustic guitar or a festival with his band halfway around the world.

After 2 years of working with several Producers, Musicians, Studios and in a few different States, Monroe has finished his long awaited 3rd full length CD "Against the Grain." The first single "I Remember The Music" was written by: Ashley Gorley & Wade Kirby and produced by Clyde Brooks. Under Clyde's direction and a host of "Nashville's Finest", the sound picked up where "Shame" left off with even more of the Country, American Roots sound that Monroe has always pursued. Rick even took the helm with guitarist Jeff Marshall to produce several of the tracks as well as working with Craig Bartock & Harlan Lansky of Matrix Music Works . Monroe says: "As an artist I have attempted all types of music and feels but I've mainly tried to get that perfect blend of Country & Rock. That's why I did my 2nd Cd "Shame" in Texas with some of the guys from the Texas Tornados. You know, that down home Heartland feel of Country with the thumping Heartbeat of Rock. With a little blues and soul thrown in for good measure. This CD is the most focused I've been on really getting a uniformed sound and picking the perfect group of songs. I've also taken a lot more time and have been very hands on. So I can only hope as a Country fan or just a plain ole music fan you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it." "Against the Grain" reflects years of experience and growth that is only found in the most seasoned of artists. With his special blend of Showmanship, Contemporary & Classic Country, a dash of Southern Roots Rock and twist of Texas Swing, Monroe and his band have been kicking up a storm on the Country Dance Hall Scene.
